About Us

We’re here to help you to help your local hospitals. We’re the charity at the heart of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, supporting the best care for patients.

All of the money we invest goes to help save lives, build a better NHS or support research at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The Trust is made up of your local hospitals – Nottingham City Hospital, the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham Children’s Hospital, Hayward House and Ropewalk House.

You can support whichever cause is closest to your heart at Nottingham’s hospitals – from childhood illness to stroke treatment, neonatal equipment to dementia research, you can be sure your donation will be used to help patients in your chosen area.

We work with local people, patients, businesses and the staff to ensure that there is more money each year to help support:

  • new facilities, like family-friendly wards and comfortable chairs for visitors.
  • the latest specialist equipment, such as state-of-the-art ultrasound scanners.
  • local medical research for a variety of conditions, from breast cancer to osteoarthritis.
  • NHS staff development – we fund leadership and other development programmes to help hospital staff provide the best possible care they can.

The money you raise is invested directly in the services, facilities and healthcare that are important to patients and essential in helping to make hospital care in Nottingham the best for our patients.

I decided to hold a fundraising event in aid of Nottingham Hospitals Charity as my husband was treated in the Stroke Unit. He received fantastic care and I wanted to say ‘thank you’ and give something back to the hospitals.

You can help by giving just a little to the Nottingham Hospitals Charity every month or every year.
