What is Hayward House?
Hayward House is a specialist palliative care unit in the grounds of the City Hospital.It is an incredibly special place, providing high quality care centred on the needs of patients and their families, from diagnosis, through the interim periods of advancing disease, up to and including end-of-life care.
Each year, donations from our Hayward House Appeal go to support patients receiving end-of-life care at Hayward House.
The money funds extra nursing posts and counselling staff to help patients and their families through incredibly difficult times in their lives.
It also funds arts activities and complementary therapy, both of which aid patients’ emotional and physical wellbeing.
