Valerie Mattinson organised a fantastic Jazz and Cocktail event to raise money for the Renal Unit.

“On the 13th November 2009, my husband received a call from the Transplant Co-ordinator that would be the start of a complex journey – one that began with him receiving a kidney transplant that very day. Over the last few years he has received first class care. I continue to be in awe of the fabulous work carried out by the team and am committed to raising funds for the unit” Valerie Mattinson.

The event raised an incredible £3,300.

“Our stay at the Neonatal Unit was, obviously, a very difficult time. However, it was made more bearable by the hospital charity and the things they provided.”

John and Rebecca wanted to give something back to the Unit that looked after them and Lucy, so decided to fund-raise, donating an incredible £2,600.
