In the morning each team tee’d off on their designated hole and rotated around the course. There were smiles all around as each individual team competed to win the top prizes. The event was kindly sponsored by Porsche Centre Nottingham, which also entered two teams on the day.
Coulson Roofing Limited was named the overall winner on the day, with Sam Beresford from Ideal Cleaning Services taking home the longest drive competition. George Musson from Adtrak Marketing won the 'closest to the pin' competition and took home a special prize.
After the 18 rounds, golfers returned to the clubhouse for a two-course meal and special presentation from Dr Sophie Wilne from Nottingham Children’s Hospital.
Katy Noone, part of team Beer, Wings and Swings, said of the event:
"It was a well organised, fun competition on a sensational course. Even the beautiful herd of deer joined us halfway round. All in aid of a fantastic Charity that makes a difference to so many children and their families.
"We decided to take part in this event as we experienced how amazing Nottingham Children's Hospital is after they helped my nephew George."
Joanne Burr, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Nottingham Hospitals Charity, said:
“It’s great to see so many local businesses and people with a connection to Nottingham’s NHS hospitals come together to raise money for the Children’s Hospital. It was such a fun event and everyone enjoyed themselves.
"We’re very grateful to our main event sponsors, Porsche Centre Nottingham, for their support and bringing some fabulous cars along on the day. Thanks also to DC Training and Development who sponsored a hole, the longest drive competition and the trophies.”
The event, including an on the day raffle, has raised over £12,800 for Nottingham Children’s Hospital.
A huge thank you everyone who attended the day and made a big difference to some of Nottingham’s youngest patients.
