Almost everyone across Nottinghamshire knows someone who has been cared for at Nottingham’s City Hospital, Queen’s Medical Centre, or Ropewalk House. So what do Nottingham’s hospitals mean to you?
On Wednesday 5th July 2023, our incredible NHS will be celebrating its 75th birthday – and to mark the occasion, we’d love to hear your stories about Nottingham’s NHS hospitals!
Maybe you’ve worked at NUH your whole career, perhaps you met your partner while in hospital in Nottingham, or maybe you’ve had several generations of your family born here?
Samantha Gathercole, who works in our Communications team, said: “The NHS is an organisation like no other, and Nottingham’s hospitals in particular have a very special place in my heart. I’ve worked at the City Hospital for over 13 years now – almost my entire adult life – and both my babies were born here.
“We can’t wait to hear our supporters’ stories about why Nottingham’s NHS hospitals are so important to them, and we’re really looking forward to celebrating the NHS’s big birthday later this year.”
Whatever your story, we’d love to hear it! We’ll be selecting a few of your stories to share as part of the NHS’s 75th birthday celebrations – we’ll be in touch with more details if you are selected.
Please send us your stories to charity@nuh.nhs.uk, or fill out the form below and help us make the NHS’s 75th a birthday to remember!
