Ten FREE places are available for a brand new race in aid of Nottingham Hospitals Charity this autumn!
The ‘Thoresby 10’ takes place on Sunday 18th October 2015 and participants can choose from a 10km or 10-mile run in the beautiful grounds of the historic Thoresby Hall in north Nottinghamshire. There’s also a 5km fun run / walk for those who want something a little less challenging.
The event follows on from the Longhorn 10k run which was also held at Thoresby Hall in aid of Nottingham Hospitals Charity in April. Both races have been organised by SBR Events.
Naomi Walters, Senior Community Fundraiser at Nottingham Hospitals Charity, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with SBR Events again for this new race and so pleased to be able to offer ten free places to our first ten runners.
“Participants can raise money for any area of Nottingham’s hospitals, so it’s a great way to raise money for the cause closest to your heart while getting fit at the same time and taking in some wonderful scenery on the day.”
Amanda Bishop from SBR Events says: “The Longhorn was a huge success with nearly 400 participants in April and we hope Thoresby 10 will feel different running through the beautiful autumn colours at Thoresby Estate. We are really proud to be fundraising for Nottingham Hospitals Charity as it affects so many local people and this will hopefully help to raise thousands more pounds.
“It’s a fun and friendly event and we hope the new walk/run course of 5km will encourage those who want to join us. Everyone earns a gorgeous autumn themed medal too!”
The ten free places are available to runners pledging to raise at least £100 for Nottingham Hospitals Charity and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. For more information please call Naomi at the charity on 0115 962 7905 or email email@example.com
