Walking over hot coals for your hospitals

Do you dare to face your fears this October?

Join Nottingham Hospitals Charity for a truly unforgettable experience on 14 October – walking on hot coals!

Firewalking is the act of walking barefoot over a bed of hot embers. It has long been practiced by many people and cultures across the world, and is often seen as a rite of passage; a way to test one’s individual strength, courage, or faith.

We are asking our supporters to face their fears and take on the challenge of a Firewalk, raising funds for the area of Nottingham’s hospitals that is closest to their heart. Whatever your reason for walking, it will make a powerful statement that is sure to stay with you long after the fire has been put out.

The Firewalk begins at 6pm on 14 October, at the Leisure Centre on the City Hospital campus. You will be inspired and motivated with an uplifting, interactive training seminar, before taking your turn to walk across the hot coals! After, we will celebrate your achievement with a buffet meal. Your supporters are welcome to spectate and join you for a celebratory drink afterwards!

To sign up for this once-in-a-lifetime challenge, email charity@nuh.nhs.uk or call 0115 962 7905 and we will send you a registration pack. Registration is £25, including your training and buffet meal, and we ask that you aim to raise £100 for the area of Nottingham’s hospitals of your choice.
