Patients at Nottingham Children’s Hospital had fun at a Superhero Party in aid of our Building the Best Appeal to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital.
The party was organised by play specialists and was open to all young patients and their families who were on the wards or visiting outpatients.
The event was part of a six-week summer activities programme organised by the Play Team at the Children’s Hospital and funded by the Charity. Previous events this summer included visits from tropical animals, Pets as Therapy dogs and residents of White Post Farm.
Staff set the scene by dressing up as superheroes for the day and donating £1 each to Nottingham Hospitals Charity. Young patients and their families were also encouraged to dress as their favourite superhero, and took part in activities including mask-making and face-painting.
