Your gift for our hospitals' future
Making a Will through Bequeathed is completely free, and you have the option to leave a gift to your local hospital and to your wider community.
You can leave a gift to an area of the hospital for the care that you or your loved one received. You can also leave your gift to a specific area of research or where the need is greatest at Nottingham's NHS hospitals. The impact of your legacy
Over one third of donations we receive each year are from gifts in Wills. Legacy gifts are hugely important to us, and allow us to fund projects and plan for the future.
Every day we fund projects across all four Nottingham hospitals that improve patient care from diagnosis to treatment and beyond. Thanks to our generous legacy donors, we have been able to support staff with training and research, fund projects which help lead to better diagnosis and treatment, and support patients beyond treatment.
Marion's story
Marion’s husband received care for multiple myeloma and sadly passed away from the disease. Following his passing, Marion decided to leave a gift in her Will to the Haematology Unit at City Hospital. After Marion passed away aged 90, we received her gift which helped fund the Bethall Haematology Day Case Unit. Marion’s gift also funded a research post to enhance local and global understanding of multiple myeloma.
Marion’s niece, Jayne Stocks, says ‘I called Marion my ‘exotic’ aunt because she lived all over the world. It was always Auntie Marion’s intention to leave her money to charity… It is good to see the unit renamed in Marion’s name and to know that her legacy will benefit people’.
