What can you do to help?
The London Marathon isn’t just a race, those who run on behalf of Nottingham hospitals will be making a huge difference to patients and staff in their local area.
If you are lucky enough to secure a ballot space, you’ll be required to pay the entry fee of £69.99 which will secure your place. When you cross the finish line, you’ll receive an official finisher medal as well as the knowledge of knowing that you’ve made an impact to the future of our NHS.

How your fundraising helps
You can choose where you want your fundraising efforts to go, whether that’s one of our appeals or to an area of the hospital that has looked after you or someone you care about, it’s really up to you. If you don’t have a particular area in mind, you can also help fundraise for any area of Nottingham hospitals where the money is needed.
Just let us know when you sign up where you would like your money to go and we’ll make sure your donation goes to the right place.

Whether that’s offering advice on how to get the most out of your fundraising, providing you with one of our breathable running tops, or helping you choose where you want your money to go, we’ll be here to guide you and ensure you have an unforgettable experience.
We can also provide you with a paper sponsorship form or offer your support in setting up and sharing your JustGiving page to ensure your friends, family, and colleagues can cheer you on through our donations.
What’s next?
Once you’ve secured your London Marathon place, get in touch with us and we’ll help you set everything up. Then it’s down to you and your training, we’ve put together some top tips on how to build up your training so you are marathon-ready. When the day comes around, remember to enjoy and take in the spectacular surroundings of London but also other runners who are also making a difference.

Sadly we don’t offer free charity places for the London Marathon, but we strongly encourage those who have been lucky to receive a place to run on behalf of Nottingham hospitals.
We don’t have a minimum amount for your fundraising. All we ask is that you do the best you can as every pound makes a difference.
It’s really easy to run for Nottingham hospitals, simply fill out this form or get in touch with our team at hello@nottinghamhospitalscharity.org.uk and we’ll talk you through the next steps.
You’ll be covering 26.2 miles which is the standard marathon distance. It won’t feel that long however as you’ll be swept up in the enjoyment of the race.
Once you’ve gained a ballot place, you’ll be asked to pay £69.99 which will secure your spot at the marathon.
