Organising your Big Bake

Whether you are joining our NUH Big Bake Week from 14th October, or holding your own bake sale on another day, here are a few tips to get you started:

  • Decide on when and where you will hold your bake sale.
  • Use our free event posters to advertise your bake sale – share the details with your friends and family and on social media.
  • Figure out what delicious treats you will be making. Invite your baking and non-baking friends to help you bake up a storm.

Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely! We want you to raise money for the area that means the most to you. Whether you work at Nottingham’s NHS Hospitals or they’ve looked after someone you care about, you choose who you raise money for.

We want everyone to get involved not matter their level of baking. Whether you can just make rice krispie squares or you are the next Paul Hollywood, the NUH Bake is meant to be a fun event for everyone to enjoy. If you really aren’t much of a baker, you can always offer to host the event and encourage others who want to bake to bring the cakes or head to the shop and buy a cake.

If sweet treats aren't your thing, you can always make a savoury baked good instead.

When you’ve collected all your donations, there are three ways you can send in your donations.

  • Donate via our website – make sure you tell us you were part of the Big Bake and specify the area you’ve raised money for.
  • Send a cheque to FREEPOST NUH CHARITY. Include a letter letting us know your details, including your event and the area you wish the money to go towards.
  • Give us a ring on 0115 962 7905

If you are unable to take part in our NUH Big Bake in October, don’t panic. You can organise your bake sale or coffee morning any time throughout the year. Our free pack is available for you to help you organise your own event. Fill in the form above to download.

Thank you for getting baking for Nottingham hospitals. You are helping to make a difference for patients all across Nottingham.
