Here at Nottingham Hospitals Charity we’re so proud to support Nottingham Children’s Hospital, and we love seeing our fundraisers and generous donors do the same. Each year Nottingham Children’s Hospital treats thousands of the East Midland’s youngest residents who may visit the hospital with anything from injuries, such as broken bones, to serious illnesses like childhood cancer.
There are many different ways you can raise money for young patients at Nottingham Children’s Hospital.
Take part in one of our organised events
Each year we run many events such as the Dragon Boat Race and The Big QMC Abseil and everyone is welcome to take part in these events. These are a great way to raise money for the Children’s Hospital and bring together colleagues and family from across the region for a good cause.
Do your own thing
Do you have a great idea for fundraising in mind? No idea is too big or too small and every penny will make a difference to young patients at the Children’s Hospital. There are some amazing ideas on in our A-Z guide but the sky is the limit (unless you are skydiving).
In the past, we’ve had grandparents who have walked 100 miles, doctors and nurses take part in cycling challenges and schools taking on fun runs. You choose how you want to raise the money and where you want it to go.
Leave a legacy
Are you considering leaving a charitable donation in your Will? You can choose to leave your donation to any area of the hospital of your choice, including Nottingham Children’s Hospital, and every penny will go towards the area of your choice.
Leaving a legacy is a special way to ensure that your loved ones and the causes close to your heart are looked after, even when you’re gone. Leaving a legacy for the Children’s Hospital ensures that the staff can continue to provide the very best for young patients from across Nottingham and the East Midlands.
Become a volunteer
We also support Nottingham Hospitals Youth Service who do incredible work with patients on the wards as well as those who are no longer staying in hospital but still have ongoing medical conditions. They run many activities including days away from the ward, specialist training and even a Youth Club who are always happy to welcome volunteers.
Charity of the year
Each year we work with many Nottingham businesses as their Charity of the Year partners. This is a great way to get your colleagues involved in raising money for a local charity and bring them together in a team-building activity for a good cause.
