We've launched our annual Grant a Christmas Wish campaign, to provide Christmas presents and treats for young patients at Nottingham Children's Hospital this festive season.
Donations can be made online and will help provide toys, art and craft supplies, technology and more, to bring a smile to the faces of babies, toddlers and young people being treated at Nottingham Children’s Hospital. All gifts will be specially selected by Play Specialists at the hospital, who know which items will bring joy and excitement to the children on their wards.
Ashley Swift’s son Oliver has been treated at Nottingham Children’s Hospital for over three years, since he was diagnosed with a brain tumour at just five months old.
Dad Ashley said: “Having a child in hospital is a heart-breaking time for any parent, but for your child to be in hospital over Christmas-time is unimaginable. It’s hard when you can’t give your child the Christmas they deserve, but to be able to give them some special gifts while they’re in hospital, and show them that people care, will make a world of difference.”
Louise Knight, Head of Fundraising at Nottingham Hospitals Charity, said: “We know it has been a difficult year for many families, and this Christmas will be especially hard for families who find themselves in hospital over the festive period. With the help of our donors, we want to bring some joy and happiness to the children and families being cared for at Nottingham Children’s Hospital this Christmas. Please support our Grant a Christmas Wish campaign if you can.”
