Your donations help NHS staff take a break

Thanks to generous donations from the local community, we have been able to fund four sleep pods for NHS staff at Nottingham’s hospitals.

These comfortable sleep spaces, which contain fully reclining chairs in a contained capsule, allow staff to get some rest during their breaks, or before or after busy shifts. The pods were funded thanks to donations to our #NottinghamNHSHeroes appeal and have now been installed at the City Hospital and Queen’s Medical Centre.

Our special appeal has so far raised more than £150,000 to support staff at NUH during this challenging time, and funds have also been used to help create two wellbeing centres and other rest areas.

We are continuing to work closely with NUH Trust to ensure funds donated by our generous supporters are used where they are most needed, for items and areas that will be most valued by staff.
