Hillarys staff raise over £40,000 for Nottingham’s NHS Hospitals

Posted on: 17 Aug 2021

After partnering with Nottingham Hospitals Charity for over five years, staff at Hillarys have raised a phenomenal £40,149!

The Nottingham head office of the national blind and curtain company, now in its 50th year, has supported various areas of Nottingham’s NHS Hospitals over the years, including the Big Appeal for Nottingham Children’s Hospital, Breast Institute, and Hayward House palliative care centre.

Hillarys staff took on a whole range of fundraising events, including a head shave, football tournament, cake decorating competition, fun day, dragon boat race and dressing up days – to name just a few!

Julie Hayes, Facilities Administrator at Hillarys, who helped organise the fundraising, said: “It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to help raise funds for NHS Hospitals over the years. We have all been happy to help and we hope we’ve made a difference, however great or small”

Marianne Burchell, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Nottingham Hospitals Charity, said: “We are delighted to have partnered with Hillarys over the past five years. The staff at Hillarys have shown real dedication to supporting their local hospitals by taking on numerous fundraising challenges, and have raised an incredible amount of money in doing so. The money they have raised will have a hugely positive impact on the care we are able to provide for patients in Nottingham.”

Thank you to everyone at Hillarys for their support!
