A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral service, play a vital role in supporting Nottingham’s NHS hospitals, helping to facilitate donations that have amounted to an incredible £400,000 over the past five years. These donations, made in lieu of flowers at funerals, provide families with a meaningful way to honour their loved ones while making a lasting difference to Nottingham’s hospitals.
A.W. Lymn’s support extends beyond facilitating donations too! As a corporate team, we are always delighted to welcome them to our annual fundraising events, and last year, they entered a 12 strong team to bravely tackle our Big QMC Abseil, descending 100 feet down the side of The Queen’s Medical Centre. Their incredible efforts raised an amazing £3,000, earning them the title of Top Corporate Fundraiser.
Matthew Lymn Rose, Managing Director at A.W. Lymn, said:
“As a Nottinghamshire business, we are always looking for ways to support our local community. We were delighted to take part in such a fantastic – if slightly daredevil – event and are proud to have contributed to such vital work across the region.
“I’d like to thank our staff for their enthusiasm and commitment, as well as everyone who kindly donated to our fundraiser.”
Beyond fundraising, A.W. Lymn is deeply involved in our charity’s work. Their team has taken part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon, supported hospital initiatives, and played a key role in our annual Christmas Tree Recycling Scheme, which was a sell-out this year. Their vans and volunteers helped us collect over a thousand Christmas trees, contributing to a record-breaking total of more than £17,000 raised.
Sam Cousens, Director of Fundraising and Communications, said:
“We are truly grateful to A.W. Lymn for their support. Their fundraising efforts and dedication to our events have made a significant impact. We’re proud to have such a strong partnership and look forward to working together in the future.”
