What we do to support Nottingham’s NHS
Your donations to Nottingham Hospitals Charity support patient care across Nottingham’s hospitals.
You can choose to help whichever area is closest to your heart, donate to one of our appeals, or just say thank you to the hospitals for their incredible care.
Who we are
We’re here to support Nottingham’s four NHS hospitals – including Queen’s Medical Centre, City Hospital, Ropewalk House and Nottingham Children’s Hospital.
We work with amazing fundraisers who take on incredible challenges, volunteers who give up their spare time to support the hospitals in various ways, patients who are grateful for their care, NHS staff who have seen first-hand the impact your donations make, and businesses that want to give back to their local community. All these come together to support thousands of patients who walk through the doors of one of Nottingham’s hospitals each year.
What we do
Over the years, we have raised over £65 million to help fund life-saving research, state-of-the-art equipment, enhanced facilities and staff development.
We’re here to help you say ‘thank you’ to our incredible NHS staff - from cleaners and porters to nurses and doctors, each one plays a significant part in ensuring patients in Nottingham receive exceptional care
Whether you or someone you love were looked after as a patient, or you’re part of a local community group or business who has been inspired to give back, your donations can make a real difference.
Why we exist
Since 2006, we have supported projects and improvements in areas such as:
- New facilities, family-friendly wards and comfortable environments for patients and visitors
- The latest specialist equipment, including state-of-the-art ultrasound scanners and an intra-operative MRI machine
- Medical research for a wide variety of conditions such as breast cancer, dementia and osteoarthritis
- Innovative staff leadership and development programmes that help hospital staff provide the best possible care
