Help your Hospitals Covid-19 Appeal

In March 2020, we launched our Help your Hospitals emergency appeal, to support NHS staff in Nottingham during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Initially the appeal helped to provide emergency food packages and other essentials for NHS staff at Nottingham hospitals, who were working long and difficult shifts, and facing empty supermarket shelves when they finished work after an exhausting day.

As the pandemic continued, our original fundraising target of £100,000 tripled, thanks to the generosity of hundreds of individuals and organisations from across the local community.

With the help of our supporters, a total of £300,000 was raised through our Help your Hospitals appeal, to support the wellbeing of staff at our hospitals.

Improved indoor staff areas, with comfortable seating and facilities to store and heat food during breaks from busy shifts

Thanks to a further £363,000 grant from NHS Charities Together, we have also been able to fund a new staff psychological support programme, to provide longer-term support for NHS workers at Nottingham’s hospitals whose mental and emotional health have been affected by their work during the pandemic.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported our Help your Hospitals appeal.
